Brrr.

I am glad I started off this month with a pretty good streak of posts, because the Christmas holidays are beginning to wreak havoc.

It just seems like every weekend in December is always completely packed with activities. I am not complaining, but it is a tough time to keep things scheduled.
You are almost guaranteed to have 1 or 2 family events this month, probably more. You will have another 2 nights of revelling with friends. You might have a birthday to go to, or a wedding related activity.

I just want to take the time to say I don’t think I could ever get married over the Christmas holidays. Everyone is already busy enough in my opinion. Of course I also wouldn’t have a wedding on any of the following days: Superbowl, NCAA March Madness or any long weekend in the summer. To be fair though I cannot be sure that any possible future brides would see the same importance in football, college Basketball or prime cottage/camping summer weekends. One can hope though.

Another hindrance to doing things in December is the weather isn’t too helpful. I have talked about winter in this blog a couple times. I have also mentioned how we cannot possibly get as much snow this year, as we did last year.

Well I may have jinxed that, I can’t tell you how the rest of winter will play out, but so far we have gotten hammered with snow.

This past Friday was a pretty big storm and then Sunday it was followed up by another storm. It didn’t snow as hard but the winds were vicious and the snow was very light and dry…it made for pretty bad drifts. I can’t even count the times I had to shovel my way out of the back door.

I have a weather prediction though, once the New Year hits our snow storms will taper off. It won’t be the end of them completely, but the New Year will see us settle into a normal pattern of snow.

What did I base this prediction on?

Nothing.

I have no idea about weather patterns, low fronts, North Easterly winds, barometric pressure or recent weather trends. I just said it to myself last night and decided to stick with it. So you heard it here first folks, put the shovels and snow blowers away before New Years. You won’t need them too much after that.

I mean if you can’t trust a random blogger with no following, who can you trust?
