I don’t know a lot about Ab Soul except that he is part of the “Black Hippy” scene out of the west coast. What I do know, is that this song is fire and it has me interested in seeing what else Ab Soul releases. He has a good flow, and some genuinely funny bars.

It is funny what a cool video can do. On Schoolboy Q’s recent album (which was fire) I never even counted this as a stand out track, but the video helps remind you how HARD it is. Great use of “video chick” as well.

Gangrene – Vodka & Ayahuasca

Gangrene is a “super” group between producers Oh No and Alchemist. You can imagine with that production lineup the music is dark, hard beats, grimey, etc… Well you are right. While neither man is what I would term a great rapper, they do create interesting music. The video matchs the music. Even if you don’t like this song (I love it) this is certainly an interesting concept for a video!.

Ed Sheeran & Yelawolf – You Don’t Know

The first couple seconds of this song I was ready to turn it off because it reminded me of some Moxy Fruvos bullshit or something. Then the beat dropped and it had a Roots – Your Got Me vibe to it. I also noticed that Yelawolf KILLS this. His flow is great on this.
